Welcome to Warmun Art Centre

Warmun Art Centre celebrates the expression of Gija culture through the arts. The Art Centre was established in 1998 by leading artists of the Warmun (Turkey Creek) community. The Centre is wholly owned and managed by the Warmun artist group, and 100% of income from sales is returned back to the community.

The Warmun Art Centre provides artists with economic independence and the opportunity to share their Gija culture and country with visitors. Warmun Art Centre operates an artists’ studio and gallery space that is owned and governed by the Gija artists. Because of this, buyers can be assured of ethical sales. Warmun Art’s architect-designed exhibition space opened in 2007 displays paintings, etchings, books and cards. Viewing the display of Warmun’s artistic and cultural diversity creates an invaluable experience for visitors.

Warmun Art Centre is located amid the spectacular scenery of the East Kimberley, Western Australia. The Centre is located in the Warmun (Turkey Creek) Community, halfway between Halls Creek and Kununurra, along the Great Northern Highway. The centre is open from Monday to Friday 9 am till 4pm.
